Maple Grove Boys Golf Wins Preview Tournament
The Maple Grove boys golf team won the 36-hole Preview Tournament Saturday, edging Minnetonka by a single stroke.
The Crimson, ranked first in the state in class AAA, finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 603 with the Skippers at 604.
Eden Prairie, Edina and Spring Lake Park rounded out the top five in the 12-team event.
Lucas Feterl of Maple Grove shot rounds of 70 and 72 to finish in a tie for third place.
Nate Stevens of Northfield won medalist honors with a two-round score of 138.
The Crimson play in tournaments both Wednesday and Friday this week.
