Maple Grove Boys Basketball Set for State Tournament
The Maple Grove boys basketball team is set for the state class AAAA tournament after winning the Section 5AAAA title over Champlin Park.
The Crimson earned the number four seed for the tournament and will face fifth seed Apple Valley in the quarterfinals Tuesday at noon at the Target Center.
Maple Grove has a large contingent of players who won a state title during the football season in the fall, and they hope that championship experience pays off this week.
