Maple Grove Boys Basketball Gets Season Sweep of Park Center
The Maple Grove boys basketball team rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Park Center 65-58, giving the Crimson a season sweep of their District 279 rivals.
Maple Grove made six three-pointers in the first half, but Park Center used its inside duo of Abu Keita (20 first half points) and Temiloluwa Omotoyinbo (12 first half points) to grab a 42-31 halftime lead.
Maple Grove closed the gap quickly in the second half, and the teams were tight down the stretch.
Maple Grove closed strong to get the win. Henry Knutson had 12 in the second half and 18 total to lead the Crimson.
Keegan Harney and Nathan Hromadka each had 12 for Maple Grove.
Keita finished with 21 and Omotoyinbo 19 for the Pirates.
Maple Grove is now 10-6. Park Center is 9-9.
