Maple Grove Boys Basketball Scores Season-Opening Win over Champlin Park
The Maple Grove boys basketball team started their season with a 64-58 win over Champlin Park on Friday.
The Crimson were led in scoring by Henry Stang, who put up 20 points. Three other Crimson players scored in double figures with Braedy Laliberte and Keegan Harney each scoring 12 and Gannon McGuire adding 11.
The Rebels also had a balanced scoring attack with three players posting double figures. Amory Peterson scored a team-high 12 points for Champlin Park. Gavin Walter added 11 points and Kwa Silikpoh chipped in 10.
The Crimson will host Park Center on Tuesday. Champlin Park also lost to Chaska over the weekend and will host Wayzata on Tuesday.
