Maple Grove Boys Basketball Falls in Consolation Play
The Maple Grove boys basketball fell 77-74 to Eden Prairie in consolation play at the state tournament.
The Crimson blitzed the Eagles early, shooting and making three-pointers in the opening minutes.
Maple Grove jumped out to leads of 15-1 and 26-9 before the Eagles started to get back in it.
Eden Prairie took its first lead with just under two minutes to play.
Maple Grove had one last chance to tie but a halfcourt shot at the buzzer was off target.
Maple Grove finishes with a 23-8 record.
