Maple Grove Boys Basketball Climbs in the Rankings
The Maple Grove boys basketball team hasn’t drawn a lot of headlines, but that may be changing.
They are ranked number two in the state class AAAA poll after an 11-2 start.
The Crimson don’t have any big stars, but a balanced attack and consistently strong defense has keyed the good start.
Their two losses were very competitive games against strong teams.
They lost to class AAA’s top-ranked team, Totino-Grace, and longtime power Hopkins.
Maple Grove doesn’t meet District 279 rival and class AAAA’s top-ranked team, Park Center, until the last game of the regular season.
They do play their other district rival Osseo this coming Monday January 30th in a game you can see live on CCX Sports.
