Maple Grove Beats Champlin Park in Girls Soccer Semifinal
The Maple Grove girls soccer team beat Champlin Park 3-0 in the state class AA semifinals Monday morning.
It’s the first loss of the season for the Rebels, who tied Maple Grove in the regular season.
After a scoreless first half, Jordan Pauly scored on a rebound to put the Crimson in the lead.
Kelley Kloncz added two goals for Maple Grove as they dominated play, outshooting the Rebels 15-1.
Maple Grove is in the state final for the second time in three seasons.
They face Northwest Suburban Conference rival Centennial for the championship Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium.
