Maple Grove Baseball Returns Strong Team
The Maple Grove baseball team should be one of the best in the area, and perhaps the state, this season.
The Crimson return several starters from a team that finished 17-7 last season.
Maple Grove brings back varsity experience at virtually every position and features a solid pitching staff.
Jeff Peterson takes over as the team’s new head coach following the retirement of Darby Carlson. Peterson had been an assistant coach at Maple Grove the past three seasons.
The Crimson is scheduled to play its first games of the season this Thursday and Friday, but poor weather conditions may push the team’s season opener to April 12th against Osseo.
