Maple Grove Baseball Looking for Another Big Spring
Coming off a 20-6 season and a section championship in 2022, the Maple Grove baseball team has high hopes for another big season.
The Crimson graduated several good players including most of their pitching staff but believe they will still compete with the best teams in the area.
Among the key returnees for Maple Grove are three players headed for Minnesota-Duluth next season: 3rd baseman Tanner Albeck, pitcher/1st baseman Hunter Gerber, and pitcher/shortstop Sam Kliber.
The Crimson won Section 5AAAA last season and finished fourth at the state tournament.
Maple Grove opens the season at home Friday afternoon against Andover and then hosts Wayzata Monday at 4:30 pm in a game you can watch live on CCX.
