Maple Grove Baseball Earns Top Seed for Section 5AAAA Tournament
The Maple Grove baseball team earned the top seed for the upcoming Section 5AAAA tournament.
The Crimson were co-champs of the Northwest Suburban Conference in the regular season.
They are back in Section 5AAAA after several seasons in other sections.
Mounds View is the second seed for the tournament with Osseo third.
Totino-Grace is the fourth seed, followed by Champlin Park. Spring Lake Park, Park Center/Columbia Heights, and Irondale.
The tournament gets started Memorial Day with 1:00 p.m. games at the home site of the higher seeds.
Maple Grove hosts Irondale; Champlin Park visits Totino-Grace; Osseo hosts Spring Lake Park; and Park Center/Columbia Heights is at Mounds View.
