Maple Grove Baseball Building with Young Team
The Maple Grove baseball team has a lot of young talent, and a year of experience gained last spring should help the Crimson climb in the standings. The Crimson played several freshmen last season during an 11-13 campaign.
The team took a spring trip to Florida and played six scrimmages there before returning to Minnesota to continue preparing for the season. The pitching and defense should be solid this spring, and if the offense comes through Maple Grove should be pretty good.
Pitcher/1st Baseman Sam Hagen, pitcher Evan O’Dwyer, shortstop Kaden Harney, and 3rd baseman Nathan Schmidt are a few of the key returners for the Crimson.
They hope to open the season Friday at Rogers if field conditions permit.
