Maddyn Greenway Breaks State Tournament Scoring Record, Providence Academy Rolls Past New Richland-H-E-G
In an 84-50 win over New Richland-H-E-G, Providence Academy’s Maddyn Greenway broke the MSHSL girls basketball all-time career state tournament scoring record which was previously held by New Richland-H-E-G’s Carlie Wagner.
By scoring 29 points, Greenway has now a total of 373 points scored in the 13 state tournament games she’s played in.
Greenway ended up with a triple double, also recorded 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the win.
Five total Lions scored in double figures; Emma Millerbernd put up 18, Mckenna Schaefer and Beckett Greenway both added 12, and Hope Counts scored 11.
Providence Academy will face Minnewaska on Friday night in the Class 2A state tournament semifinals.
