Long-time Brooklyn Center Coach Greg Gilreath Dies
Greg Gilreath, who coached basketball at taught in the Brooklyn Center School District for over 30 years, has passed away at the age of 61.
“Coach Gil” was the head boys basketball coach at Brooklyn Center High School from the late 1980s until 2005.
He also taught physical education at what is now Brooklyn Center Elementary, formerly Earle Brown Elementary School.
Gilreath battled cancer for two years before his passing on October 20th.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday morning at Community Covenant Church in Minneapolis.
