Local Wrestlers Shine at Section 5AAA Wrestling
The format is different due to COVID-19, but wrestlers from the northwest suburbs fared well at the Section 5AAA individual tournament.
Eight Wayzata wrestlers won semifinal matches, while Osseo had five semifinal winners.
Maple Grove, Armstrong, Cooper and Park Center also had wrestlers who reached the semifinals.
Four wrestlers in each weight class advanced to Saturday’s “Super Sectional/State Prelim” matches at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
