Local Swimmers and Divers Compete at Class AA Girls State Meet
Several local high school girls swimmers and divers competed at the Class AA State Championship Meet over the weekend.
Maple Grove’s Libby Bakker competed in three different events with her top finish coming in the 100-yard backstroke, placing second in the state with a time of 54.55 seconds.
Wayzata’s Ashley Mouyenga took third overall in diving, scoring a 428.80 with Maple Grove’s Ellis Landry finishing in fourth place.
As a team, the Trojans placed eighth overall with 102 total points and the Crimson took tenth scoring 80 points.
Minnetonka won the Class AA state championship with 325 points.
Breck finished 6th in Class A with the Mustangs’ Ava Allingham winning the 200 yard individual medley.
