Local Prep Players Sign For College Football
The NCAA’s early signing period began Wednesday morning for high school football players committing to compete in Division 1 or Division 2 in college.
Locally Heritage Christian Academy’s Abu Tarawallie signed with the University of Minnesota. The defensive lineman, who plays in the co-op program at Providence Academy, is one of five Minnesotans who signed with the Gophers.
Another Minnesota commit, Cooper High School’s Emmauel Karmo, will be honored in a ceremony at his school Wednesday afternoon.
At Maple Grove, five players signed for college football today. Nathan Hromadka, Charles Langama and Michael Wagner all signed with the University of North Dakota while Jacob Wrabanek and Dylan Vokal signed with North Dakota State University.
Maple Grove’s Bo Draheim has committed to Cornell but is signing in February while Crimson senior Jack Weigel, who was also part of Maple Grove’s state championship football team, signed with the University of St. Thomas to run track and field.
