Local Nordic skiers advance to state
Just the state Nordic ski meet is left in the 2017-18 season for local teams. Wednesday at Theodore Wirth Park, section titles were on the line for teams in Section 5.
On the girls’ side, Gabby Bolcer of Maple Grove advanced to state, placing fourth. Elizabeth Mattson of Park Center and Sydney Crandall of Champlin Park also qualified.
In the boys’ meet, C.J. Young and Max Kivi of Maple Grove and Matt Omann and Mark Scheller of Champlin Park advanced to next week’s state meet.
