Local Gymnasts Compete at Section 5AA Meet
Gymnasts from Maple Grove, Osseo/Fridley, Park Center, and Champlin Park were among the athletes vying for spots in the state meet at the Section 5AA gymnastics meet at Buffalo High School.
No girls from those teams qualified for state.
Dani Hahn of Maple grove was the top local all-arounder, placing seventh with a score of 32.675.
Breanna Benjamin of Park Center was eighth at 32.175. Lily Foell of Maple Grove placed tenth in the all-around.
St. Michael-Albertville easily won the team title, scoring 145.475.
Rogers was second, followed by Buffalo, Maple Grove, and Osseo/Fridley.
The state gymnastics meet is February 23-24 at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.
