Local Baseball Players Enjoy PlayBall All-Star Experience
It was a fun weekend for the local players competing at the annual PlayBall Minnesota high school baseball all-star series.
Five local seniors from the Class of 2022 competed for the Metro North team in the two-day, multi-game event.
Aiden Hansen and Chayton Fischer of Maple Grove, Matthew Kitzman of Osseo, Blake Iverson from Park Center and Brennan Blake of Totino-Grace all played for the Metro North.
The team lost three of its four games in the tournament with the North All-Stars– with players representing Northern Minnesota– beating Metro East in the tournament championship game Saturday night.
