Local athletes sign to play college sports

An impressive group of young athletes were surrounded by friends, family and coaches at their schools Wednesday for letter of intent signing ceremonies.

Athletes in football, soccer, track and field and other sports put their college choices in writing.

Osseo, Park Center, Maple Grove, Armstrong, Cooper, Brooklyn Center, Wayzata, Hopkins, and Champlin Park were among the schools with multiple signees.
