Lee’s Two Goals Leads Maple Grove Girls Soccer to Section Semifinal win over Champlin Park
Maple Grove girls soccer advanced to their tenth section final game in eleven seasons with a 2-1 win over Champlin Park in the Section 5AAA semifinals.
The Crimson scored first in the 20th minute on a Jessica Lee goal assisted from Keira Gill.
The Rebels responded later in the first half with a goal on a header from freshman Ainsley Krebsbach.
After halftime, Maple Grove went back in front again when Lee scored her second goal in the 50th minute. Maple Grove played solid defense the rest of the way and held on to win.
The Crimson will host Spring Lake Park on Tuesday at 5:00 PM for the Section 5AAA championship in a match you can watch live on CCX.
Champlin Park closes its season with a 4-9-3 record.
