Jerome Williams, Jacob Meissner Sign Local NIL Deal
Osseo High School senior Jerome Williams and 2022 Maranatha Christian Academy graduate Jacob Meissner this week signed one-year NIL deals with local business Premier Pinball and Amusement.
NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) contracts are becoming more and more common for college athletes who are paid for their endorsements.
Williams will play football next year at the University of Minnesota while Meissner is a freshman wrestler at Arizona State University.
PP & A is owned by 2014 Osseo High School graduate Andrew Lanners and specializes in refurbishing and re-selling used pinball and arcade games to individuals.
Lanners is also a teacher and a coach at Osseo and wanted to give Williams his first NIL deal.
For Meissner, who was a state champion wrestler at Osseo (Maranatha does not have its own wrestling program), it is his second NIL agreement.
Williams is the first Osseo student-athlete to receive an NIL deal.
PP & A is also partnering with The Grief Club of Minneapolis for an event designed for youth on May 18th. The “All-Star Gathering” will include Williams talking about his story of grief and Meissner sharing healthy ways to deal with stress.
Lanners started buying and selling arcade games shortly after graduating from Minnesota State Mankato in 2018 and formed PP & A last year.
