Hopkins Softball Opens Season with 5-1 Win over St. Louis Park
The Hopkins softball team earned a 5-1 win in their season opener against St. Louis Park.
After the Orioles scored in the top of the first, the Royals answered with two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead.
Hopkins added some insurance in the sixth when Mary Foster got on base with a single up the middle and eventually crossed home later in the inning.
Sophia Enslin earned the win in the circle.
The Royals will face Chaska and Maple Grove later this week.
