Hopkins Softball Crushes Edina in Section 6AAAA Tournament
The Hopkins softball team crushed Edina 7-0 to move into the winner’s bracket final of the Section 6AAAA tournament.
Signe Dohse pitched a one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts for the Royals.
Dohse also played a key role offensively, scoring a run after doubling in the first inning, driving in a run in the second, and hitting a two-run triple in the sixth.
Hopkins is facing Wayzata in the winner’s bracket final Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the championship round.
Hopkins is the defending champion and top seed in the section.
