Hopkins Legion Baseball Set for State Tournament
The Hopkins Post 320 American Legion baseball team is set for the state tournament.
The Flyers rolled through the Sub-State 4 tournament, winning five straight games by a combined score of 47-9.
They enter the state tournament with a 30-8 record.
Many of the same players were part of the team that placed second in the state tournament and second at the Central Plains regional last summer.
The Division I state legion tournament starts Thursday morning in Burnsville, Prior Lake, and Shakopee.
Hopkins is at the main tournament site at Alimagnet Park in Burnsville for pool play.
