Hopkins Legion Baseball Routs Owatonna in Minnesota American Legion State Tournament
The Hopkins Legion Post 320 baseball team rattled off eight unanswered runs and earned a win over Owatonna in the opening round of the Minnesota American Legion State Tournament.
After giving up two runs in the first inning, the Flyers answered back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the first.
Joe Schaefer led Hopkins at the plate with three RBI’s.
Jay Mound and Reid Oertli combined to allow only two hits in six innings pitched.
The Flyers will take on East Grand Forks on Friday at 2:30.
