Hopkins Legion Baseball Ready for State Tourney
The Hopkins American Legion baseball team qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2012 and is now prepping for its Thursday state opener.
Hopkins (22-11) won the Sub-State 4 tournament last week and has almost the same team that reached the state high school tournament in June.
The Flyers open pool play Thursday at 10 a.m. against Fridley Gold at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.
