Hopkins Legion Baseball Eliminated from Gopher Classic
The Hopkins American Legion baseball team was eliminated from play Monday afternoon in the Gopher Classic tournament, falling 11-3 to Bloomington Blue.
The Flyers had advanced to the Round of 16 Monday after winning their pool over the weekend.
Hopkins scored three runs in the top of the first inning against Blue but Bloomington scored six runs in the third inning and four in the fifth to end Hopkins’ run in the tourney.
The Gopher Classic wraps up Tuesday afternoon with the championship game at Veterans Field in Minnetonka.
