Hopkins Gymnastics Beats Wayzata to Remain Unbeaten
The Hopkins gymnastics team defeated Wayzata 141.400 to 138.075 for the team’s fourth dual meet win of the season.
Hopkins (4-0) also placed first in an invitational meet in Princeton last weekend.
Hopkins junior Annabelle Speers won the bars, beam, and floor exercise to win the meet’s all-around title with a score of 36.800.
NyahSymone Britt of Hopkins won the vault with a score of 9.400.
The loss was the first of the season for Wayzata (3-1).
It marked the first time Hopkins has defeated Wayzata since January 2009.

The teams will be the favorites to advance to state at the Section 6AA meet February 18th at Hopkins High School.
Wayzata is the defending state champion in Class AA.
