Hopkins Guard Kerwin Walton Commits to North Carolina
Hopkins standout senior guard Kerwin Walton has made his college choice: North Carolina.
One of the top remaining unsigned players in the class of 2020, Walton had planned to announce his decision Saturday.
The suspense remained for another couple of days until his announcement Monday.
Minnesota was one of the schools in the running until the end.
Walton, a 6’5″ shooting guard, averaged nearly 27 points per game this season for Hopkins.
He was a first team all-metro selection by the Star Tribune and made the CCX Sports Sports Jam all-area team.
