Hopkins Girls Soccer Falls to Rogers in 6AAA Semifinal
The Hopkins girls’ soccer team lost to Rogers 1-0 in the Section 6AAA semifinals on Saturday.
The lone goal was scored on a penalty kick from Rogers’ Ashlyn O’Malley.
Hopkins had a handful of close shot attempts late in the second half, but Rogers goalkeeper Emma Blanchar preserved the shutout.
Hopkins ends its season with a 12-5-1 record.
Rogers (12-5-1) will face top-seeded Wayzata (17-1-0) in the Section 6AAA final on Tuesday.
