Hopkins Girls Basketball Wins Semifinal Game
The Hopkins girls basketball team pulled away to beat Stillwater 66-40 in the state class AAAA semifinals Thursday.
It turned out to be their last game.
The Royals won’t get a chance to defend their state title.
The Minnesota State High School League announced Friday that the remainder of the state tournament won’t be played.
Concerns about the spread of coronavirus caused officials to announce the cancellation Friday morning.
Hopkins will have to settle for a perfect 30-0 season and 62-game winning streak.
