Hopkins Girls Basketball Wins 6AAAA Title over Wayzata
The Hopkins girls basketball team advances to the state tournament for a seventh straight season with an 80-58 win over Wayzata in the Section 6AAAA tournament final.
Nu Nu Agara and Maya Nnaji each scored 19 points to lead the Royals while Liv McGill scored 12.
Jenna Johnson netted 27 points for Wayzata in her final high school game. Mara Braun added 12 for the Trojans (11-7).
Hopkins (15-0) play in the state tournament quarterfinals either Tuesday or Wednesday at a neutral site.
