Hopkins Girls Basketball Takes Down Wayzata on the Road
The Hopkins girls basketball team avenged their only in-state loss of the season by defeating Wayzata on the road, 77-74.
The Royals were led by Jaliyah Diggs and Erma Walker who combined for 55 points. Diggs scored a game-high 31 and Walker netted 24.
Wayzata was balanced with Maren Day scoring 18 points along with Kate Amelotte adding 17 and both Annika Keiser and Mallory McBeth putting up 16.
Both Hopkins and Wayzata are now 11-1 in the Lake Conference. The Trojans have an overall record of 21-4 and the Royals are 22-2.
