Hopkins Girls Basketball Section 6AAAA Champs for 12th Straight Season
The Hopkins girls basketball team earned their twelfth straight trip to the Class AAAA state tournament with a 78-59 win over Wayzata.
The Royals have now defeated the Trojans in eight Section 6AAAA finals in a row.
Ava Cupito shot lights out from three and led the Royals with 24 points.
Hopkins also got offensive production from Jaliyah Diggs and Erma Walker – scoring 18 and 17 points.
The Trojans were led by senior Kate Amelotte who put up 20 points.
Wayzata ends its season with a 22-6 record.
