Hopkins Girls Basketball Routs Forest Lake in State Quarterfinals
The Hopkins girls basketball team raced out to a 48-22 halftime lead on the way to a 76-44 rout of Forest Lake in the state tournament quarterfinals.
The Royals, ranked first in Class AAAA, have now won 78 straight games tying a record set by Fosston in the early 2000s.
Taylor Woodson scored 15 points to lead the Royals in scoring while Maya Nnaji scored 14 and Amaya Battle added 12.
Hopkins (16-0) plays Chaska in the state semifinals April 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Target Center.
