Hopkins Girls Basketball Returns to State Final
The Hopkins girls basketball team is headed back to a familiar spot: the state final. The Royals whipped Roseville 61-34 in the Class AAAA semifinals Thursday to move back into the championship game for a third straight season. Hopkins put together a strong run late in the first half to build a 39-18 halftime lead, and that lead grew early in the second half. Paige Bueckers scored 21 points in the win for Hopkins. The Royals will meet top seed Eastview for the championship Saturday night at 8:00 at Target Center. They lost to Eastview earlier this season.
