Hopkins Girls Basketball Deals with Early Adversity, but Still #1 in AAAA
The Hopkins girls basketball team has already faced a number of challenges this year, but have managed to remain ranked first in the state in class AAAA with a 7-1 record.
Coming into the season, the Royals already knew they’d be replacing last year’s Ms. Minnesota basketball award-winner Liv McGill.
But they also are now dealing with losing senior guard and Belmont commit Tatum Woodson, who injured her ACL against Benilde-St. Margaret’s on November 30th.
Hopkins does have some key returners back from last year including North Dakota commit Lauren Hillesheim, London Harris, Maliyah White, Erma Walker, and Ava Cupito.
Despite all the moving parts as of late, the Royals constant is their tough, pressure, defense, and up-tempo, fast-paced offense.
