Hopkins Girls Basketball Aims for Another Title
The Hopkins girls basketball team started practice this week as they aim to defend the state class AAAA title they won in March.
That championship was especially satisfying because the Royals overcame injuries to key players and put it all together at the right time.
It’s a young team that will take the court this winter.
Three talented juniors lead the way: post player Erma Walker, point guard Jaliyah Diggs, and guard Ava Cupito, who returns after missing most of last season with an injury.
The Royals open the season against defending class AA champion Providence Academy Saturday November 22nd.
