Hopkins Football Loses to Eagan
The Hopkins football team lost 27-14 to Eagan Saturday in battle of previously winless teams.
Eagan scored one touchdown in each quarter to build a 27-0 lead before Hopkins rallied.
Workhorse running back Landon Tonsager scored two touchdowns for Eagan.
Isiah Harris scored an 88-yard touchdown for Hopkins on a short pass from Gabe Ottmar in the fourth quarter.
Backup quarterback Kam Fox hit K.O. Pierre-Tousant for another score late in the game for Hopkins.
It’s the first game with more than one touchdown for the Royals this season.
The schedule doesn’t get any easier for Hopkins: they face ninth-ranked Woodbury and number one Lakeville South in their last two regular season games.
