Hopkins Football Drops Regular Season Finale
The Hopkins football team saw its four-game winning streak snapped Wednesday, losing 48-12 to St. Michael-Albertville in the final game of the regular season.
Hopkins trailed only 14-6 at halftime but saw the Knights outscore them 34-6 in the second half.
The Royals scored their only second half-touchdown on a four-yard pass from Tre Moore to Jayden Moore.
Hopkins (4-4) plays its first game in the Class 6A playoffs October 24th at Centennial.
STMA (3-5) is at Osseo, also on the 24th.
