Hopkins Edges Wayzata to Win Third Straight 6AA Gymnastics Title
The Hopkins gymnastics team scored 142.775 points to edge Wayzata and beat the rest of the field to win the Section 6AA meet for a third straight season.
The Trojans scored 141.700 points to finish as runner-up in the eight-team meet.
NyahSymone Britt of Hopkins won vault, floor exercise and the meet all-around title with a score of 36.325.
Alea Jennings of Hopkins won the balance beam while Ava Johnson of Wayzata was the uneven bars champion.
The Royals compete in the Class AA team meet Friday at 6:00 pm at Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
Both Hopkins and Wayzata will send girls to the AA individual meet Saturday at 6:00 pm.
