Hopkins Boys Win Section Alpine Title
The Hopkins boys Alpine ski team won the Section 5 championship meet Monday, earning a spot in next week’s state meet.
The Royals team of Jens Dohse, Bergen Huseth, Lincoln Hatlestad, Jackson Risser, Zane Mukhtiar and Harrison Rosenberg will compete in the state meet March 10th at Giant’s Ridge in Biwabik.
Eliza Polyak from the Hopkins girls team is an individual state qualifier along with Marta Pendergast of Wayzata and Grace Horejsi of Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
Local boys individual state qualifiers are section champion Sam Shideman of Breck, Joshua Nelson of West Lutheran and Jaggen Qie of Wayzata.
