Hopkins Boys Hockey Tops Osseo 8-2
Weston Schenkelberg scored five goals and added two assists to lead the Hopkins boys hockey team to an 8-2 win over Osseo.
The Royals’ senior scored three of his team’s first four goals to stake Hopkins to a 4-0 lead.
But two late second period goals from Will Engel and Jake Sawicky pulled the Orioles within 4-2.
Hopkins though scored four more times in the third period, including two from Schenkelberg for the 8-2 final.
Kirill Udaltsov added a goal and four assists for Hopkins (9-14-0).
Osseo dropped to 6-16-1 with the loss.
