Hopkins Boys Hockey Scores Three Unanswered Goals To Beat New Ulm
The Hopkins boys hockey team won their second game in a row at the Hopkins Pavilion with a 5-2 victory over New UIm.
The Royals got on the board in the first period off a Malakhi Berry powerplay goal.
Weston Schenkelberg’s goal early in the second period made it a 2-0 advantage, but the Eagles responded back with two goals of their own, both coming from Austin Uecker.
Hopkins scored the final three goals of the game coming from Berry, Bo Stevens, and Schenkelberg to earn the win.
Hopkins now holds a 7-17 record after the win over the Eagles.
The Royals finish the regular season at home against Osseo on Thursday.
