Hopkins Boys Basketball Routs Armstrong, Novak Jr. Breaks All-Time Wins Record
In a night where Hopkins Head Coach Ken Novak Jr. made Minnesota high school basketball history – the Royals ran by Armstrong, 92-58.
Hopkins was lead by Jojo Smith and Xavier Frelix, who each poured in 19 points. Tre Moore added 15 and Anthony Byrd scored 13.
Jayden Moore recorded 16 assists in the Royals win.
With the win, Novak Jr. notched his 1,013th career win and in doing so, passing Bob McDonald as the all-time leader in wins in Minnesota boys basketball history.
The Royals will play Buffalo in the section 6AAAA semifinals on Tuesday.
