Hopkins Boys Basketball Rallies Past Wayzata
The Hopkins boys basketball team needed a second half comeback to beat Wayzata 66-56 in the Section 6AAAA semifinals.
Fifth seed Wayzata came out strong and took an 11-point lead into halftime against the top-seeded Royals.
Hopkins closed the gap and took the lead, with the game staying close down the stretch.
Kerwin Walton scored 18 of his game-high 30 points in the second half to lead Hopkins.
The Royals will face second seed Cooper in the final on Wednesday.
