Hopkins Beats Minnehaha Academy in Boys Basketball Thriller
The Hopkins boys basketball team beat Minnehaha Academy in an overtime thriller Tuesday.
The Royals won 92-85 in a game matching two defending state champions.
Kerwin Walton scored 27 of his 29 points after halftime for Hopkins.
Jaelen Treml scored 23 off the bench for the Royals.
Minnehaha star Jalen Suggs scored 41 points before fouling out.
Standout 7-foot junior Chet Holmgren didn’t play because of an injury for the Red Hawks.
