Hopkins Baseball Team Falls to Rogers
The Hopkins baseball team fell to Rogers 4-2 in the state Class AAAA quarterfinals.
Aaron Schmidt hit a two-run homer for Rogers in the second inning to start the scoring.
Rogers added single runs in the third and fourth innings before Hopkins battled back.
Hopkins beat Blaine in consolation play before losing to Mounds View in the consolation championship.
Rogers lost in the semifinals and then lost to Stillwater in the third place game.
