Hopkins Baseball Scores Two Runs Early, But Falls at St. Michael-Albertville
The Hopkins baseball team got off to a quick start on the road at St. Michael-Albertville, but couldn’t hold on to win, falling 12-2 in five innings.
Wyatt Petersen got the Royals on the board in the top of the first with an RBI double to centerfield.
Petersen’s base hit was followed by an RBI single from Karl Schiebe and Hopkins led 2-0 after the top of the first.
STMA rallied though, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first and another four in the second. In total, the Knights scored 12 unanswered runs to earn the 10-run win.
Hopkins falls to 1-7 on the season with the loss to STMA.
